Embracing a Global Movement
Today marked a remarkable journey along the Istanbul Bosphorus as I joined hands, and strides, with the esteemed President of TOFD, Semra Çetinkaya, in the Wings for Life World Run. This global event, spanning continents and uniting athletes of all backgrounds, carries a profound mission beyond the finish line: to drive research toward treating spinal cord injuries

Unity in Motion
The atmosphere was electric as we laced up our running shoes, each step resonating with the collective heartbeat of thousands worldwide. Amidst the scenic backdrop of the Bosphorus, runners, including myself and Semra, embraced the spirit of camaraderie and solidarity, fueled by the shared goal of making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by spinal cord injuries.
Empowering Research through Action
What makes the Wings for Life World Run truly exceptional is its unwavering commitment to impact. Every registration fee contributes directly to groundbreaking research endeavors dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of spinal cord injuries and pioneering effective treatments. It’s not just a run; it’s a powerful statement of unity and determination to push the boundaries of medical science and rehabilitation.

Strides Towards Hope
As the kilometers unfolded beneath our feet, so did the realization that every stride was a step closer to hope and healing for individuals battling spinal cord injuries. With each participant, each supporter, and each donation, we reaffirmed our pledge to stand alongside those facing these challenges, offering not just sympathy, but tangible support and solutions.
A Beacon of Resilience
The Wings for Life World Run is more than a race; it’s a beacon of resilience, a testament to the indomitable human spirit, and a catalyst for change. Together, with Semra Çetinkaya and countless others around the globe, we’re not just running; we’re racing towards a future where spinal cord injuries are no longer a barrier to living life to the fullest.
